Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer, and singer. An attractive, clever and gifted actress, she is an model for Asian actors aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. After several appearances on popular television series and movies, she gained fame after being cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. In the wake of her success, she landed significant part for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. In this period she was the main character in a few flops on the box-office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was an actor in voice for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's small-screen role on Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland is a critically acclaimed police show in which Liu appeared frequently and allowed her to be a renowned as an actress.
